“Azerbaijan’s admission to the Non-Aligned Movement will not influence our country’s relations with other organizations, including NATO,” head of Azerbaijan’s mission to NATO Khazar Ibrahim told APA. He said that NATO-Azerbaijan relations are developing in positive direction.
“Azerbaijan is closely cooperating with NATO and is NATO’s ally. We play an important role in Afghanistan. Azerbaijan is one of the significant transit countries for NATO’s operations in Afghanistan. Cooperation is also continuing in other spheres,” he said.
Asked whether Azerbaijan will reduce its military contingent in Afghanistan, Khazar Ibrahim said for the present Baku is not going to reduce its contingent.
