Kyrgyz Speaker embarks on official Azerbaijan visit

Speaker of Kyrgyzstan`s parliament Akhmatbek Keldibekov has kicked off an official visit to Azerbaijan. At the Heydar Aliyev international airport he was welcomed by deputy speaker of Azerbaijan`s parliament Valeh Alasgarov.

In a brief interview at the airport, Keldibekov said Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan enjoyed strong friendly relations.

“Our relations have been elevated to a new level after we regained our independence.”

Keldibekov said the visit was aimed at exploring prospects for expanding the relations between the two countries` parliaments.

The parliaments of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan will sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation during the visit. In Baku Keldibekov will also attend the 3rd Congress of World Azerbaijanis.
