Iranian top officials visits Ganja

Iranian Parliamentary Speaker Ali Larijani has launched a visit to the Ganja city of Azerbaijan this morning, Spokesman for the Iranian Embassy in Baku Abbas Isgandari told Trend.

He will meet with the Ganja City Mayor, he added. Larijani’s visit includes a tour of Ganja city and several historical monuments, including Shah Abbas Mosque and Nizami Ganjavi Mausoleum.

Larijani kicked off his visit to Azerbaijan on Friday. Larijani is visiting Azerbaijan on invitation from the Azerbaijani Parliamentary Speaker Ogtay Asadov. The visit aimed to enhance Iranian-Azerbaijani inter-parliamentary cooperation.

He met with Asadov, Prime Minister Artur Rasizade, and the country’s other officials in Baku.

Larijani’s visit to Azerbaijan was initially scheduled for February however, it was postponed due to his busy work schedule. He will end his Azerbaijani visit tonight.
