Palestinian President pays respect to national leader Heydar Aliyev and Alley of Martyrs

President of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas has today visited the Alley of Honors to lay a wreath at the tomb of Azerbaijan`s national leader Heydar Aliyev.

The Palestinian leader also put flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.

Then the president visited the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate Azerbaijani heroes who gave their lives for the country`s independence and territorial integrity. A guard of honor was lined up for the President here.

President Mahmoud Abbas laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument. A military orchestra played the national anthems of Palestine and Azerbaijan.b Then, the Palestinian leader enjoyed a panoramic view of Azerbaijan`s capital.
