93rd anniversary of Day of Azerbaijani Armed Forces marked abroad

An official reception to mark the 93rd anniversary of the Day of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces was organized in Ankara. The event brought together Azerbaijan`s Culture and Tourism Minister, Abulfas Garayev, Chief of the General Staff of Turkey, Isik Kosaner, Commander of the Land Forces, Erdal Ceylanoglu, Commander of the Turkish Air Force, Hasan Aksay, Gendarmerie Commander, Necdet Ozel and heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Ankara.

Another event to mark the 93rd anniversary of the Day of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces was organized in Beijing. The event was attended by Chinese top officials, diplomats, military attaches and Azerbaijanis living in China. Opening the event, Azerbaijan`s military attache to China Nurulla Aliyev spoke of the history of the establishment of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces and national leader Heydar Aliyev`s role in strengthening of the material and technical base of the Armed Forces. He underlined due to President, Supreme Commander in Chief Ilham Aliyev`s special attention, the Azerbaijani Army has become the most powerful one in the region. The event participants saw a documentary on the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.

The 93rd anniversary of the Day of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces was marked in Islamabad which brought together officials, diplomats, military attaches and Azerbaijanis living in Pakistan.
The event participants saw a documentary on the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan.Addressing the event, ambassador Dashgin Shikarov briefed the participants on the history of the establishment of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
