Azerbaijani parliament deputy speaker: Azerbaijani political parties may be financed on different principle

The different principles can be used as a basis while financing the political parties, deputy speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament Bahar Muradova said.

"At present, we are working over the law "Political parties"," she said. "Therefore, it is wrong to speak of the principles of financing beforehand. I have repeatedly expressed my views on the issue. The different principles, the number of votes collected in the elections and seats in the parliament can be taken as a basis."

She said that the bill has not been discussed yet.

"There were merely statements of various people, some parties, including the representatives of the ruling party on this issue," she said. "When the bill is presented for discussion, it will be possible to express the opinion on it."

The new draft law "Political parties" may be presented for discussion in the autumn session of the Parliament.

The political parties put forward the proposals on changes and additions to the law on "Political Parties" to finance the political parties or to adopt the new law.
