Vice speaker: Azerbaijan is ready to cooperate with party that will win parliamentary elections in Turkey

Azerbaijan is ready to cooperate with the party that will win the parliamentary elections in Turkey, the deputy chairperson of the Azerbaijani Parliament Bahar Muradova said in an interview with the website of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP).

"Azerbaijan respects the choice of the Turkish people and is willing to cooperate with the party that will win the parliamentary elections in Turkey," said Muradova.

She said Azerbaijan is a fraternal country for Turkey, constantly cooperates with authorities, elected by citizens of this country. After the next elections, the cooperation will continue with the political power in which the people of Turkey will trust.

"Sometimes we are blamed that we support the Justice and Development Party (AKP). NAP is the ruling party in Azerbaijan and the AKP - in Turkey. We have official ties with this party, we have established a close relationship. We have stated in our speeches about the active cooperation with the AKP. But building these relationships, we do not intend to interfere in the internal affairs of Turkey. And so the charges against us by members of some Turkish parties involved in the pre-election campaign are wrong," said Muradova.

She said during the mutual visits of parliamentary delegations, as well as in the composition of friendship groups, there are representatives of the opposition, with which normal relations have been established.

Parliamentarians of both countries actively cooperate and support each other in international organizations. Who of them is a representative of government and who is the representative of opposition at this point has not meaning. Therefore, our relationship can not be assessed as an attempt to determine the future direction of Turkey's policy instead of the Turkish people," said Muradov.
