Pakistan's magazine "Diplomatic focus" writes about Azerbaijan

Influential Pakistani magazine "Diplomatic focus" published an article titled "Azerbaijan develops friendly relations with Pakistan and other countries of the Economic Cooperation Organization".

The article - the author is M. Elahi - informs in detail on celebrating the Day of Republic, May 28, in Pakistan. The author notes that Azerbaijan is a country with ancient history and rich culture. The Azerbaijani people as a result of long struggle for freedom in 1918 have created independent state - the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic which became the first democratic republic in the Muslim East.

The Pakistani author, having concerned the question of development in Azerbaijan of human rights, notes that in spite of the fact that the majority of population in the country are Moslems, in Azerbaijan religious tolerance is highly appreciated, religious minority aren't exposed to discrimination and live in peace and friendly atmosphere.

The article informs that in the country rich with natural resources, special attention is given to increase of social welfare of the people.

The author also highlights on the Armenian-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, underlining that Armenia occupied the ancient Azerbaijani lands, and Pakistan supports the fair stance of Azerbaijan in conflict settlement.

The author marks considerable development of the Azerbaijan-Pakistan relations, leads up to attention that there is high potential for cooperation between the two countries.
