Azerbaijani MP: OSCE Minsk Group's activity is futile

04 June 2011 [08:45] - TODAY.AZ
The OSCE Minsk Group's activity is futile, MP Gular Ahmadova said at the annual reporting meeting of the public association "International Centre for Diaspora".

"If Turkey got a place in the OSCE Minsk Group, the mission would have been more successful," she said. However, this proposal irritates some international circles."

She said that there are attempts to "cool off" the warm relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey.

"It is necessary to evaluate the work of NGOs to prevent this process, along with the steps taken in this direction by the Azerbaijani government," she said. "The activity of the International Centre for Diaspora must be stressed from this point of view. The plaque was placed in memory of the dead Azerbaijanis through the initiative of the center for the first time in Turkey, Çanakkale. Later, it is planned to erect a monument to the Azerbaijanis, who died in Canakkale."

She said that the center conducts important work to inform the world about true Azerbaijan and Nagorno Karabakh.

"I especially would like to emphasize the events that took place at Czech universities," she said.

Despite the project "Karabakh realities" is under completion, work in this direction is still underway, chairman of the center Ismail Agayev said. He said that the center will work to inform the world community about Kurdish Muslims who became victims of Armenian aggression in the future.
