
The agenda of the summer session was determined at the bureau of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) in Kyiv, AzerTAc reported. The session will be held on 20-24 June. The first day of the session will start with the statement of PACE President. Following this, Vice-Presidents with respect to Finland and Ireland will be elected, the agenda of the summer session will be adopted.
Communication from the Committee of Ministers to the Parliamentary Assembly will be presented by Kostyantyn Gryshchenko, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Chairman of the Committee of Ministers, discussion will be held on budgets and priorities of the Council of Europe for the financial years 2012-2013 in the second half of the day.
A judge to the European Court of Human Rights in respect of France will be elected, co-operation between the Council of Europe and emerging democracies in the Arab world, the situation in Tunisia, asylum seekers and refugees: sharing responsibilities in Europe will be discussed on 21 June. The parliamentarians will exchange views on living together in 21st century Europe, reform of the Parliamentary Assembly, the state of human rights in Europe and other issues.
Presidents of Ukraine and Armenia, President of the Palestinian National Authority, foreign ministers of Bulgaria and Tunisia, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Morocco, Federal Minister of Justice of Germany, Attorney General for England and Wales will address the session.
No issue related to Azerbaijan has been included into the agenda of the summer session.
