Azerbaijani MP: Events in Georgia show world's double standards

Azerbaijani MP Aydin Mirzazade believes the recent events in Georgia are open evidence of some international organizations' double standards.

"We deplore the events in Georgia. We would like to note the problems in Georgia with the legislation. Despite this, the events already took place and the world's attention focused on them," Mirzazade said.

He said the events in Georgia revealed some interesting points.

The clashes between the opposition and law enforcement agencies killed two people and injured several.

"For some reason, international organizations have closed their eyes to the fact of application of serious measures and that two people were killed then. Some international circles, each time speaking about justice, prone to double standards. They are used to declare democracy or about its absence in a particular case. This once again confirms bias attitude towards Azerbaijan," Mirzazade said.
