Turkish leades congratulate Azerbaijani president on country's victory in Eurovision-2011 - UPDATE

Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a telephone call to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on May 19, the Azerbaijani President's official website reported.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan extended his congratulations to President on decisive victory of the Azerbaijani representatives in "Eurovision-2011" song contest in Dusseldorf, Germany, and noted that this victory was welcomed with great joy in Turkey.

The President expressed his gratitude to the Turkish Prime Minister for the attention and congratulation.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed confidence that the friendly and fraternal relations between the two states would continue to thrive successfully in all spheres.

In addition, Turkey's President Abdullah Gul sent a congratulatory message to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

"My dear brother, President Ilham Aliyev,

We welcomed with great joy the victory of our friend and brother Azerbaijan in the Eurovision song contest held in Dusseldorf, Germany on May 14, 2011.

Azerbaijan's triumph brought great satisfaction to the Turkish people as well.
Your Excellency, in your person, I cordially congratulate Azerbaijan on this victory.
I wholeheartedly wish You good health, happiness and friendly and brotherly people of Azerbaijan well-being and prosperity."
