ATUC chairman: Systematic works underway in Azerbaijan to ensure development of the youth

Systematic works are being carried out in Azerbaijan to ensure development of the youth, said Chairman of Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC) Sattar Mehbaliyev at a meeting with a group of youngsters who are members of trade unions.

They discussed issues stemming from the Order of President Ilham Aliyev on the State Program "Azerbaijani youth in 2011-2015".

Mehbaliyev highlighted the successful youth policy being pursued by the Azerbaijani leadership. He noted national leader Heydar Aliyev's ideas were realized due to President Ilham Aliyev's wise policy.

Mehbaliyev also touched upon the youth policy of ATUC, saying today trade unions include more than 300 thusand youngsters.

For their part, the youngsters spoke of the care and attention of President Ilham Aliyev for the Azerbaijani youth. The youngsters said they Azerbaijani youth support President Ilham Aliyev's domestic and foreign policy.

Then, an appeal was adopted on behalf of the youth to President Ilham Aliyev. Present in the meeting were Deputy Chief of the Presidential Administration's Department for Socio-Political Affairs Arastun Mehdiyev and members of ATUC trade unions.
