EU refutes news about Nagorno-Karabakh representative office in Brussels

No official report on the opening of a representative office of Nagorno Karabakh in Brussels has been received, head of the EU delegation to Baku Roland Kobia said.

"The EU does not intend to establish any relation with Nagorno- Karabakh. It is our official position," Kobia said. " The EU has contacts only with the international ly recognized countries."

Even if such an office is opened, it would not be officially registered in the EU, he said at a press conference on Thursday.

Last week, Armenian media reported plans to open such an office in Brussels in 2011.
