Romania hosts event dedicated to 88th birthday of Azerbaijan's National Leader Heydar Aliyev

On Tuesday, Romania's capital Bucharest hosted an event dedicated to the 88th birthday of the National Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Romania said.

The event in the Park Tei - Alley Heydar Aliyev was attended by the Azerbaijanis getting education and living in Romania, representatives of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Romania, Azerbaijan-Romania Friendship Society, Romanian-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce, Romania-Azerbaijan Association of Youth and Culture, the Azerbaijanis who are in Romania in line with the Ministry of Defence Industry of Azerbaijan for short training, members of the Democratic Union of Turkish-Muslim Tatars of Romania and Turkish Democratic Union of Romania, representatives of the Romanian, Tatar and Turkish communities.

Speakers at the event told about the life and activity of Heydar Aliyev, great leader's hard struggle for independent, sovereign and prosperous Azerbaijan, special role in strengthening the Azerbaijani-Romanian relations in modern conditions to the level of strategic partnership. The event participants also said that the personality and policy of Heydar Aliyev should be evaluated not only inside Azerbaijan, but also regionally and globally.

The event participants familiarized themselves with a photo exhibition, dedicated to the life and activity of Heydar Aliyev, which was held in the building of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and watched a documentary film about Heydar Aliyev.
