Ruling party: One of priorities in Azerbaijani government's activities is youth policy

27 April 2011 [10:24] - TODAY.AZ
One of the priorities in the activities of the Azerbaijani Government is youth policy. Young people's getting good education, the formation of their modern view, their ability to express their potential, as well as directing this potential for the development of Azerbaijan are the ideological basis of the government policy, the Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) Ali Ahmedov  said in an interview to the official website of the NAP.

Ahmedov said upon the Presidential order, a State program on the development of Azerbaijani youth in 2011-2015, which will give even greater impetus to the development of youth, is being designed.

"NAP's position is that the Azerbaijani youth should take an active part in the modernization of the country. Our young people have joined the major knowledge and modern outlook. These and other facts suggest that youth is a powerful force in the development of Azerbaijan. The government and the party are on the way to more fruitfully use this power for Azerbaijan," said Ahmedov.

He said the strengthening of stability in the country is the duty of every citizen and especially the youth, whom the future of Azerbaijan is linked with. And therefore, youth should be interested in maintaining the current stability and calm that Azerbaijan would continue its development and welfare of the younger generation would grow even more.

"Unfortunately, a small part of our young people has been gathered around itself by the radical wing of the opposition, carrying out the orders of forces, for whom Azerbaijan's development is unpleasant. These forces are trying to exploit young people for their own purposes, but sensible young people must make a serious effort to abandon the false path," Ahmedov said.
