The draft resolution on the mass killings of the Azerbaijanis by Armenians in Nagorno Karabakh was submitted to the Hungarian parliament.
TRT reported that the draft was submitted by Movement for a Better Hungary (Jobbik), which is the 3rd largest party in the parliament.
Deputy Chairman of the Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee Márton Gyöngyösi said that 15 of the Azerbaijani territories were occupied as a result of an aggression led by Armenia. He said that 613 people the majority of which were women and children were killed in Khojaly massacre in 1992.
Gyöngyösi reminded that UN Security Council, OSCE and NATO condemned the genocide committed by Armenia. The parliamentarian noted that the problems of one million refugees and IDPs have not been solved yet and though the international community pays attention to some tragedies in the world, it doesn’t pay attention to the tragedy of Azerbaijani people.
The representatives of the oppositional Jobbik Party called the parliament to condemn the Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan.
Jobbik party has 47 seats in the 227-seat parliament.
