
Speaker of Azerbaijan Parliament Ogtay Asadov met Polish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Michal Labenda on Tuesday. Asadov wished success to Polish Ambassador, noting his county is interested in cooperation with Poland in all spheres.
Reciprocal visits and meetings of the heads of state play important role in deepening ties, Speaker said.
He highly praised activity of Azerbaijan-Poland intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation in strengthening economic relations.
Asadov spoke about Azerbaijan's role in energy security of Europe, noting his countries support on Odessa-Brody-Plotsk-Gdansk Pipeline project. He underlined Azerbaijan's active role in fight against terrorism.
Speaker Asadov stressed developing relations between two countries' parliaments and highly praised activity of friendship groups of both countries' parliaments.
Asadov provided information on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and underlined that Azerbaijan's supports just settlement of the conflict under norms of international law.
In turn, Polish ambassador vowed to promote further development of bilateral relations, noting Poland's interest in boosting especially economic, cultural, humanitarian relations. Labenda noted existence of wider potential to deepen bilateral ties.
