Samad Seyidov: We hope Subcommittee on Nagorno Karabakh will actively start its work

Azerbaijani delegation to Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will participate in spring session of the organization with wide composition, head of the delegation Samad Seyidov said.

To him, as ever, Azerbaijani delegation will take part in the discussions during this session actively: "All members of the delegation will go to the session. If we look at the agenda, we will see that a lot interesting and important issues are expected to discuss. Azerbaijani delegation is intending to take part in the meetings of committees and subcommittees, and in the discussions as it was in former sessions".

Seyidov said that discussions related to Azerbaijan were not considered to conduct. To him, PACE Monitoring Committee co-rapporteurs Pedro Agramunt Font de Mora and Joseph Debono Grech will pay visit to Azerbaijan in June, or in September-October for assessment of the situation.

As to Subcommittee on Nagorno Karabakh, Seyidov noted that Azerbaijani side agreed with confirmation of PACE’s subcommittee activity and hoped active activity of this committee: "We hope that this subcommittee will start its work actively. If there is not activeness, meetings are not held, it may occur from subcommittees’ wish of Armenian side on non participation in the meeting. Everything will be known in the session and we are interested in both attendance the session and continuation of the activity in this direction".

Remind that, PACE spring session will be held on April 11-15 in Strasbourg.
