Employees of Azerbaijani embassy in Egypt to return to Cairo to continue working

The diplomatic staff of the Azerbaijani embassy in Egypt will return to Cairo within the next few days, first secretary of the embassy Elnur Ismayilov told APA. He said three more employees of the embassy are expected to return.

“The technical staff of the embassy are also to return and we will continue working normally. The situation is calm in Egypt, but demonstrations are sometimes held here,” he said.

The employees of the Azerbaijani embassy in Egypt were evacuated following the mass unrest in the country. Only three employees, including Ambassador Shahin Abdullayev remained at the embassy.
