French co-chair: "More than 2 years we ask Azerbaijan and Armenia to withdraw snipers from both sides…"

"We have held discussions with the Azerbaijani president on the incident occurred in the frontline”, one of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group Bernar Fassier told journalists.

He said that during the occurrence of the incident – murder of 9-year old Azerbaijani, Fariz Badalov they were in Vilnius, they immediately issued statement after getting information on it and asked Personal Representative of OSCE Chairman-in-Office Anjey Kasprshik to carry out an investigation on this issue:

"These investigations have already started. Mr. Kasprshik and his team have started their work – the monitoring. This work is being continued. We have not got the results yet. We have always said that it is needed to strengthen more the agreement achieved on the ceasefire. More than 2 years the co-chairs ask the parties to withdraw the snipers from both sides. If the parties had listened to us, this incident would not have been occurred".
