The Georgia - My Homeland movement has issued a statement protesting the murder of an Azerbaijani child who was killed by the Armenian armed forces.
The child died after the Armenian armed forces opened fire on the conflict line.
A 9-year-old resident of the Orta Garvand village in the Agdam region was killed on March 8 as a result of a ceasefire violation by the troops. Fariz Badalov was shot in the head while playing in his yard. He was taken to hospital, but doctors failed to save his life.
"The brutal murder of babies, children, the elderly and women as a result of the Azerbaijani genocide perpetrated at the hands of the Armenians throughout history is well known to the public. The number of innocent deaths has increased as a result of the systematic ceasefire violations by Armenia. The fact that an Azerbaijani child became the target of an Armenian sniper is a human atrocity," the movement said in a statement.
The movement has called on the international community to condemn the act. The movement said if the international community does not speak out against the incident, then such inhumane actions may be repeated.
