Azerbaijani ambassador makes speech at conference organized by Vatican

Azerbaijani ambassador to France, who was also accredited to the Holy See, Elchin Amirbekov, participated in a conference-debate organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Vatican for the ambassadors accredited to the Holy See.

The idea of the conference was to continue the dialogue on several issues initiated with the ambassadors last year which are of interest for the Holy See in the context of globalization and the need for establishment and effective implementation of intercultural dialogue, he told Trend.

During the conference Azerbaijani ambassador spoke about the country's role in implementing the intercultural dialogue, proceeding from the advantages of the country. It is located at the junction of two continents, civilizations and cultures.

The ambassador highlighted the events held in Azerbaijan for the last few years by the government, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
