Azerbaijan's State Committee on Securities and National Bank of Georgia sign MoU

The State Committee on Securities of the Azerbaijan Republic and National Bank of Georgia have signed Memorandum of Mutual Understanding on Cooperation and Data Exchange in the field of securities market. The Memo was signed by the vice-president of board of National Bank of Georgia Otar Nadaria and the vice-president of State Securities Committee of Azerbaijan Ilgar Muradov.

The memorandum will promote realization of the joint projects aimed at expansion of bilateral relations, strengthening of exchange of the technical and regulating information, protection of the rights of investors.

Prior to document signing in State Securities Committee of Azerbaijan the Committee's Chairman Rufat Aslanly noted that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia dynamically develop, and the incessantly extending economic relations bring mutual benefit. He underlined that between two countries there is great potential for development of the financial markets, in particular, securities market.

The signed document is the fifth cooperation agreement with regulators of securities markets of other countries. Earlier, the Securities Committee of Azerbaijan has signed similar document with Turkey, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
