Azerbaijan, Italy foreign ministries' press service chiefs hold consultations

Head of the press service of the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry Elkhan Polukhov on the invitation of his colleague from the Foreign Ministry of Italy Maurizio Massari has made a working visit to this country.

The sides have exchanged views on activity of the press services in the foreign policy departments, shared experience and discussed future plans.

The questions to give more and intensive information to the Italian side about the realities in Azerbaijan and organization of reciprocal visits of media representatives were also focused.

During his visit to Italy, Elkhan Polukhov has also met with the experts at the Link Campus University's Strategic Researches Center, the staff of University.

Speaking of the historical ties between Azerbaijan and Italy, Professor Serco Luici Cermani, director of the Center said scientific community of Italy was interested in Azerbaijan, in its history and values.

Elkhan Polukhov highlighted his Italian colleagues on the priorities of Azerbaijan's foreign policy, the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, its reasons, the process of negotiations, Azerbaijan's fair stance for settlement of the problem.

Polukhov also gave detailed information on Azerbaijan's energy policy and answered questions concerning Azerbaijan-Italy, Azerbaijan-European Union relations.

Head of the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry's press service gave interviews to several leading media outlets of Italy. Azerbaijan's ambassador to Italy Vagif Sadigov took part at the meetings.
