SOCAR President meets US ambassador

President of Azerbaijan's oil firm, SOCAR, Rovnag Abdullayev has met the United States` ambassador Matthew Bryza.

Bryza said he would make every effort to contribute to developing the Azerbaijan-US relations.

The US ambassador praised Azerbaijan's role in global energy projects. Bryza said Azerbaijan and the US enjoyed fruitful energy cooperation, expressing confidence it would further deepen.

He said Azerbaijan's energy projects opened up new opportunities for expanding the bilateral energy cooperation.Abdullayev praised US companies' role in implementing energy projects in Azerbaijan.

The SOCAR chief also stressed there were wide opportunities for expanding the energy cooperation between the two countries
