President Ilham Aliyev receives ICF president

President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan on March 9 received president of the International Canoe Federation Jose Perurena Lopez.

Noting that he is to visit Mingachevir Rowing Center, ICF president Jose Perurena Lopez underlined the importance of similar centers for international contests.

Stating that Mingachevir Rowing Center became the center of rowing still in the Soviet Union, but it became worthless after collapse of the Union, President Aliyev said latest years the Center was equipped with necessary update facilities and carried out reconstruction works.

In meeting, also was expressed confidence the rowing center will make certain contribution to the development of sports in the country and strengthening of international cooperation in this field.
