Azerbaijani Defense Ministry: Armenia violated ceasefire regime in 10 directions during Sochi Presidents' meeting

09 March 2011 [18:14] - TODAY.AZ
The countries, interested in the peaceful settlement of the conflict, as well as the Minsk Group, must take into account the destructive activity of Armenia, spokesman for the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry Eldar Sabiroglu said.

"Otherwise, everything can change rapidly. It is difficult to prevent this," Sabiroglu said.

Before and after the high-level meetings, Armenia always tries to violate the negotiations by committing acts of sabotage, he said. He said that these actions became traditional. During Sochi Presidents' meeting, the Armenian armed forces violated the ceasefire regime in 10 directions, by firing our positions with machine guns and large caliber weapons.

During the Sochi meeting of the Azerbaijan and Armenian presidents , the Armenian armed forces violate d the ceasefire regime 10 times, he said.

"It would be naive to think that all of this happens by accident. The role of Armenia's authorities and military is indisputable. Everything happens upon their request. It is clear," he said.

Speaking about a 9-year-old child who was killed by the Armenians in the Agdam region on March 8, he said the Armenian armed forces have recently started firing at settlements and using various weapons against civilians.

A nine-year-old resident of the Orta Garvend village, Badalov Fariz, was shot in the head by sniper fire from the Shihlar village in the occupied Agdam region on March 8.

For them, it does not matter if it is a child, a man or a woman, he said.

The enemy will continue killing children. No matter how difficult it may be , the Azerbaijani armed forces have not opened fire, so as not to complicate the situation on the front, he said.
