Azerbaijan, Morocco sign cooperation protocol in field of sport and youth

Azerbaijan and Morocco have signed a cooperation protocol in the field of youth and sports.

The document was signed as part of Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov`s visit to Morocco from February 28 to March 3.

During the trip, the Azeri Minister met with Moroccan counterpart Moncef Belkhayat. Belkhayat briefed Rahimov on sports development in Morocco, adding “we are interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in the fields of sports and youth”.

The Azeri Minister touched on government`s care for development of sports, implementation of projects and achievements of Azerbaijan`s sportsmen in international tournaments.

Touching upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Rahimov described as an ‘example of historical and friendly relations` the fact that both countries support each other within international organizations.

The Azeri Minister also met Director General of ISESCO Abdulaziz Altwaijri.
Rahimov visited football academy in Rabat, golf sports complex and sports facilities in Tangier city.

As part of the visit, minister Rahimov was interviewed by the Moroccan Central TV.
