Azerbaijan opens diplomatic mission in Sarajevo

Azerbaijan has opened a diplomatic mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Speaking at the opening ceremony in Sarajevo the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Bosnia and Herzegovina Eldar Hasanov emphasized the importance of establishing better bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Balkan states.

After the inauguration of the Embassy the participants toured the Baku Street in Sarajevo. By the way, during the Soviet period, Baku was declared a twin city with a capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

State and government officials, members of the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina and general public as well as press reporters attended the inauguration of the Azerbaijan Embassy in Sarajevo.
