Azerbaijani President received delegation headed by Slovenian defense minister

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Wednesday Slovenian Defense Minister Mrs. Ljubica Jelusic and her accompanying delegation, the website of the Azerbaijani President reported.

The Head of State said relations beteen Azerbaijan and Slovenia were developing successfully.

President Ilham Aliyev noted Mrs. Jelusic's current visit  created good opportunity to discuss military cooperation with her Azerbaijani counterpart. The Head of State recalled his visit to Slovenia, stressing the two countries' presidents have good relations. President Ilham Aliyev noted he regularly meets with his Slovenian counterpart to discuss issues regarding regional development and bilateral ties.

The Head of State expressed confidence that Slovenian Defense Minister's visit to Azerbaijan would be fruitful in terms of exploration of opportunities for cooperation between relevant bodies of the two countries.

Mrs. Ljubica Jelusic, in turn, said all members of the delegation that she leads were pleased with the visit to Azerbaijan and chance to discuss opportunities to develop cooperation.

She also underlined relations between the two countries' relevant bodies were based on cooperation of the presidents and common values between “our peoples”.

The Defense Minister also recalled that this morning she visited the monument to Mehdi Huseynzade.
