
Azerbaijan's deputy foreign minister Khalaf Khalafov visited Hungary on February 28-March 2.
On the first day of the visit, Khalafov met Deputy Speaker of Parliament Lezsak Sandor, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Zsolt Nemeth, Deputy State Secretary Péter Sztáray, Co-Chair of Intergovernmental Joint Commission on Azerbaijan-Hungary Economic Cooperation Róza Nad, Chairman of Hungarian-Azerbaijani Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group Márton Gyöngyösi.
The meetings focused on bilateral political, economic and cultural relations, cooperation in energy sphere and intensification of the activity of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation.
On Wednesday, Khalafov gave an interview to Hungary-based Duna TV channel. During the live interview the Deputy Foreign Minister highlighted the results of the visit, relations between Azerbaijan and Hungary and Azerbaijan`s energy policy.
