Azerbaijani Minister of Emergency Situations invited to Tatarstan

President of Tatarstan Republic of Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov is on a working visit to Azerbaijan. He met with Minister of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan Kemaleddin Heydarov in Baku.

According to APA, the sides exchanged opinion on cooperation in the emergency field. Minnikhanov gave details about the GLONASS navigation system and use of technologies of this system in prevention of emergency situations and elimination of their results.

He said his republic has many large industrial enterprises and pipelines. "We give much attention to the prevention of emergency situations because such situations have great impact on the country’s economy and life".

Heydarov informed the guest that as a result of heavy floods in Azerbaijan last year more than 70 000 ha of field was under the water.

Minnikhanov invited Heydarov to visit Tatarstan.
