
President Ilham Aliyev has attended a conference on outcomes of the second year of implementation of the “State Program on social and economic development of the regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2009-2013” at the Baku Business Center on Tuesday.
The Head of State first viewed an exhibition which was launched as part of the conference.
President Ilham Aliyev gave an opening address at the event.
The Head of State hailed outcomes of the second year of implementation of the “State Program on social and economic development of the regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2009-2013”.
President Ilham Aliyev spoke of achievements and follow-up actions in the second year of the State Program.
President Ilham
Aliyev noted, that Azerbaijan`s state budget makes 16 billion US dollars. He also added, that the budget was growing.
"In comparison with 2004 Azerbaijan`s budget saw a 12-fold increase."
The
Head of State said: "Probably, budget spending will increase during the
year since the budget is calculated based on oil`s price of 60 dollars
per barrel. But now the price is twice more."
Azerbaijani President said all major infrastructure projects should be completed in the country until 2013.
"Roads, water and gas pipes, power and other infrastructure projects have been included in the state program and all these issues should be solved until 2013."
The President noted new spheres of investment would be defined in the coming years.
Speakers at the event included Economic Development Minister Shahin Mustafayev, member of the Sumgait Technology Park`s board Zaur Mammadov, head of Elba LLC Elchin Rustamov, Governors Mahir Guliyev of Astara, Asif Mammadov of Balakan, Tofig Zeynalov of Tovuz, Siragaddin Jabbarov of Saatli.
