Turkish embassy to Azerbaijan commemorated Khojaly genocide

Turkish embassy to Azerbaijan hosted a commemorative event titled “Armenians` activity in 1915-2015” to mark the 19th anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy.

Well-known Turkish political scientist professor Hikmet Ozdemir made a presentation on the theme “Armenian activity in 1915-2015” and compared Khojaly genocide with the atrocity committed by Armenians in Eastern Anatolia in 1914-1916.

Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic stressed the importance of educating the world community about the crimes committed by Armenians. Mr.Kilic underlined the close relationship between Azerbaijan and Turkey, mentioning Azerbaijan`s national leader Heydar Aliyev`s saying “one nation with two states”.

MPs, historians and media representatives attended the event.
