Matthew Bryza: He was a good friend of mine, I will miss him

“Fuad Ismayilov was a very good friend of mine, expert diplomat and a good man”, US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza told journalists during former Azerbaijani ambassador to Austria Fuad Ismayilov’s funeral.

"I met Fuad for the first time four years ago. We were frequently meeting with him during the discussions on Nagorno Karabakh. I heard news on his death yesterday and it made me sad. I know that I will miss him," said Bryza.

Ambassador Bryza offered condolences to Fuad Ismayilov's relatives.
