
Azerbaijani embassy in Libya has not yet received appeals from Azerbaijani citizens in connection with the riots in the Arab country, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesman Elkhan Polukhov said.
"So far, the embassy has not received appeals from our citizens in Libya," he said.
Demonstrations demanding the resignation of Muammar Gaddafi, who has ruled the country for over 40 years, have been continuing in Libyan cities for several days. Police and army opened fire on demonstrators, killing more than 200 people in the city of Benghazi. The clash spread to the country’s capital Tripoli on the Monday night.
