New Azerbaijan Party, Romania's ruling DLP sign MoU

The New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) and Romania's ruling Democratic Liberal Party (DLP) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation.

The document was signed as part of a visit of YAP's delegation to Romania, which included Deputy Chairman, Executive Secretary, MP Ali Ahmadov, Deputy Executive Secretary, MP Mubariz Gurbanli and MP Asaf Hajiyev.

The Memorandum was signed by Ali Ahmadov and DLP's first deputy chairman Adriean Videanu.

During a meeting held at DLP's headquarters they said relations between YAP and DLP would contribute to boosting Azerbaijan-Romania cooperation.

The document provides for holding consultations on bilateral and multilateral ties, international relations, conducting exchange of experience on development of the two parties, organizing reciprocal visits by representatives of the parties, establishing cooperation between the parties' youth organizations.

During the visit, YAP delegation met Roberta Anastase, President of the Chamber of Deputies of Romanian parliament. The talks focused on relations between the two countries in various spheres, including inter-parliamentary ties.

The delegation met in the Heydar Aliyev Foundation's representation with Azerbaijani students.
They discussed the main tasks of the Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations to increase the world community`s knowledge about President Ilham Aliyev`s domestic and foreign policy.

The delegation also had a meeting in Azerbaijan`s Embassy where they said relations between the two countries had reached the level of strategic partnership.

Azerbaijani ambassador Eldar Hasanov was present in the meetings.
