Azerbaijani ambassador to Indonesia visits Pancasila University

Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Indonesia Ibrahim Hajiyev has visited the Pancasila university where he told about Azerbaijan`s history, culture, economic development and the country`s role in international and regional projects.

Mr. Hajiyev also briefed participants on the history of the 20 January. Touching upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the ambassador said about 20 percent of Azerbaijan`s lands was occupied by Armenians.

As a result of the conflict, over one million of Azerbaijanis have become refugees and internally displaced persons in their own lands. The diplomat thanked the Indonesian government and people for supporting Azerbaijan`s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Mr. Hajiyev also highlighted the Khojaly massacre. He also underlined the Justice for Khojaly campaign was launched in Azerbaijan and other countries at the initiative of general coordinator of the OIC Youth Foundation on Intercultural Dialogue of Islamic Conference Youth Forum Leyla Aliyeva.

Hajiyev presented books about Azerbaijan`s history, culture and tourism as well as Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to the university`s library.
