Azerbaijani president's press office rejects information by Bloomberg news agency

The statements "Azerbaijan has yet to receive a concrete proposal from Turkmenistan, holder of the world’s fourth-largest gas reserves... We are ready to provide transit for Turkmen gas"  published in the article published by Bloomberg agency on Feb. 16 and placed under the photo of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, were voiced by a person named Aliyev over the phone.

It actually shapes an opinion that these statements belong to the person indicated on the photo – Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

However, Trend contacted the presidential press office and made it clear that the president did not have telephone talk with Bloomberg agency.

Such distorted facts contribute to the formation of the misconception among readers and dissemination of biased information.
