Azerbajan's human rights commissioner meets Austrian ambassador

Azerbajan`s human rights commissioner Elmira Suleymanova met Austrian ambassador to the country Mrs. Silvia Mayer Kaybic on February 15.

Mrs. Suleymanova stressed the importance of bilateral cooperation with the Austrian Embassy in the field of human rights.  She also underlined the necessity of outlining top priorities for this cooperation.

The ombudsperson said along with governmental bodies and NGOs, she attaches importance to cooperation with international organizations and embassies of foreign countries in Azerbaijan.

Mrs. Suleymanova added over one million of Azerbaijanis have become refugees and internally displaced persons in their own lands. The Austrian ambassador underlined productive activity of the ombudsperson in the field of human rights.
