Azerbaijani President decrees to strengthen social security of traffic police officers

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev decreed on “Some measures to strengthen social security of the Road Patrol Service staff and in the field of traffic regulation”.

Under the Decree, 25% of the amounts involved as penalty for violation of traffic rules will be add to wages of the traffic officers of Road Patrol Service.

The Cabinet is to prepare within a month the proposals on relevant amendments in the legislature to pay the penalties for the violation of administrative offences related to violation of traffic rules through banks and cards.

Relevant bodies are tasked to take tough measures to prevent groundless torment of citizens by road officers.
