French Senate delegation to visit Baku

A French delegation headed by Senator Nathalie Goulet will visit Baku upon the Azerbaijani side's initiative next week, Azerbaijani Ambassador to France Elchin Amirbeyov told Trend.

The visit aims at discussing the opportunities of deepening interparliamentary and other forms of cooperation between the two countries, the diplomat said.

Amirbeyov said that the important goal of this visit is to inform the delegation members about Azerbaijan's position on the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The talks will focus on effective ways of bringing the Azerbaijani realities to the French society, which is often subjected to the destructive influence of the aggressive Armenian Diaspora in France, Amirbeyov said.

Meetings are planned in parliament, as well as the Foreign Ministry.
