U.S. ambassador to Azerbaijan to hold meeting in State Department

Newly appointed U.S. ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza will hold a meeting at the State Department the United States, the State Department said.

Bryza is expected to meet with the Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs William Burns. Talks will be closed to press, the report said.

Newly appointed U.S. ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza has taken his oath on Jan.27. It was previously reported that Bryza will arrive in Baku in early February. The post of U.S. ambassador in Baku had been vacant since the previous ambassador, Anne Derse, completed her diplomatic mission in July 2009.
