04 February 2011 [17:25] - TODAY.AZ
Many ethnic groups co-exist peacefully in Azerbaijan, this is a culture of Azerbaijani people, OSCE Baku Office Head Ali Bilge Cankorel said at a round-table discussion on the "Interfaith harmony in building civil society: a dialogue and a peaceful life".

"Azerbaijan takes steps towards the development of inter-religious dialogue. It suggests that interfaith dialogue exists not only in words but in the everyday life of the people," Cankorel said.

According to a resolution adopted at the U.N. General Assembly session on Oct. 20, the first week of February each year is now World Interfaith Harmony Week.
