
The State Insurance Supervision Service under the Azerbaijani Finance Ministry ensured in 2010 the payment of about 200,000 manat, which the insurance companies unreasonably refused to pay, the service reported on Thursday.
According to the report, payments were provided on the basis of complaints to the Finance by the victims of insurance cases, on which the insurance company unreasonably refused to make payments. There are 27 insurance and one reinsurance company in Azerbaijan. Premiums for 2010 amounted to 155.59 million manat with payments of 53.83 million manat.
