World Azerbaijanis Congress holds protest action outside Iranian embassy in Baku

The  World Azerbaijanis Congress (WAC) today held a protest action in front of the Iranian Embassy in Azerbaijan. The protest action was attended by about 30-40 people.

As the WAC co-chairman Sabir Rustamkhanli told journalists the protesters submitted to the neighboring country's diplomatic mission a statement against the interference of certain forces of Iran in the internal affairs of Azerbaijan, the anti-Azerbaijani propaganda carried out by TV channel "Seher 2", the insults to the congress, Tehran's ties with Armenia which occupied Azerbaijani territories.

Representatives of the Congress also demanded the release of democratic functionaries arrested in Southern Azerbaijan.
