Azerbaijani ambassador presents credentials to Sultan of Brunei

Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Malaysia Tahir Karimov who has got concurrent accreditation to the State of Brunei Darussalam has presented his credentials to Sultan of Brunei Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Muizzaddin Waddaulah.

The Sultan of Brunei asked Karimov to deliver his best regards and greetings to President Ilham Aliyev and wished prosperity to the people of Azerbaijan.

Waddaulah also expressed willingness to arrive in Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijani ambassador spoke of Azerbaijan-Brunei relations.

He stressed the necessity of expanding cooperation between the countries in various fields. The ambassador said development of economic and cultural relations is the main goal to achieve.

Mr. Karimov also met with Bruneian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Mohamed Bolkiah.

The Azerbaijani envoy briefed the Minister on construction work and the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

He told of continuation and strengthening of cooperation both in the bilateral format and within international organizations.

The FM recalled the OIC Foreign Ministers` meeting in Baku.

Karimov will meet Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yusof.

During the meeting, they exchanged views on development of relations between the countries.
