Azerbaijani MP sees OSCE final report on elections in Azerbaijan as preconceived

01 February 2011 [18:51] - TODAY.AZ
Azerbaijani MP Siyavush Novruzov sees the OSCE final report on the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan as preconceived.

"The OSCE issued a biased and preconceived report in connection with the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan. Representatives of the OSCE mission after the elections in Baku made statements that they didn't face violations during the voting process. However the final report says that it was prepared in advance," Novruzov said at the parliamentary meeting today.

"Unfortunately, in Afghanistan, where 70% of the territory is not controlled, 90 percent of the population is uneducated, the elections are recognized as democratic, while in Azerbaijan - no," said the MP said.

Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan were held on Nov.7 last year.
