Number of goods produced by Azerbaijan's defense industry increased by 17%

The number of goods of the defense industry, produced in 2010, increased by 17%, minister Yaver Jamalov said at the board meeting of the Ministry of Defense Industry on the results of 2010, the Ministry of Defense Industry reported.

He said that seven new productions were created and commissioned in 2010 in the Ministry's bodies.

"This production, created to provide the armed forces with modern combat equipment, as well as the national economy with devices and spare parts for machinery, production of various equipment, electronics, communications equipment, are already in operation. The number of produced defense means has increased by 2,4 times compared to 2009, while the number of civilian products by 7,3%, " he said.
